The Main Room
Our restaurant on the water is a blank canvas at heart, over 7,000 square feet that becomes whatever your day needs, from a seated reception to a standing party. Floor-to-water views and a wraparound patio for cocktail hour.

A two-storey waterfront venue at the Dow's Lake Pavilion, where weddings, rooftop nights and once-in-a-lifetime celebrations happen with the lake as the backdrop.
Welcome to Lago, a downtown waterfront venue tucked into the Dow's Lake Pavilion, steps from the Arboretum and the canal. Two storeys, panoramic water views, and a team that's truly excited to host you. We work closely with you to build the day you've been picturing, whether that's an expansive 250-guest reception, an intimate dinner upstairs, or a rooftop night under the umbrellas.
On a busy Saturday we'll run two full weddings on two different floors at once, and you'd never know the other one was happening. Most venues that try this turn into chaos. We've turned it into a craft, with seasoned staff, veteran bartenders, a banquet team that treats your décor like their own, and a hands-on owner, Gyneya, on the floor making sure your day is the only one that matters.
A room, set for the day
Our restaurant on the water is a blank canvas at heart, over 7,000 square feet that becomes whatever your day needs, from a seated reception to a standing party. Floor-to-water views and a wraparound patio for cocktail hour.

Up the stairs, the Vista Room trades nothing on the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Dow's Lake and Queen Juliana Park, with a private patio and built-in AV (projector, screen, wireless mic) ready to go.

Our rooftop urban oasis, voted one of Ottawa's best rooftop bars and the upstairs half of the same waterfront home. From tiki to mojitos with every craft beer in between, with the lake glowing at twilight. Walk in as a guest, leave as a neighbour. Open year-round, and yours to book for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners and rooftop receptions.

Here's the important stuff instead. Our banquet manager will fuss over your cupcake tower until it's perfectly lined up, an hour if that's what it takes. Ask our lead bartender for "something good" and he'll invent it on the spot, then still remember your order when you come back as a guest five years later. If a bridesmaid's dress rips, we're sewing her back into it. If the boutonnieres get left at home, we're quietly rebuilding them from your centrepiece flowers before anyone notices.
Because we don't want your guests saying "that was a nice room." We want them saying "wow, what a great party, and did you see how happy they looked?"
À la carte menus for lunch, dinner and cocktails, all-day corporate packages, and a space that bends to your vision instead of the other way around.
Panoramic Dow's Lake water views from both floors and the rooftop.
A DJ-ready setup and dance floor your pros will actually thank you for.
Veteran staff and bartenders, a hands-on owner, and a banquet crew that handles setup and takedown.
We run a guest shuttle, so nobody's left sorting out logistics.
A rare Ottawa venue that does winter weddings and summer rooftop nights alike.
The simultaneous-wedding flex most venues simply can't pull off.
This stretch of shoreline has been gathering people since 1931, when a boathouse first stood on Dow's Lake. The pavilion that replaced it carried the tradition forward, and today Lago keeps it going, an open, modern, two-storey space that still belongs to the water it was built beside.
Lago and the Umbrella Bar rooftop are both hers, and she's hands-on for the moments that matter, the kind of owner who's there on the night making sure your day is the only one that counts. It's why couples remember her name long after the last song.
"Gyneya was the best at helping us with this. I almost cried when I first walked into the venue."Emilie, a Lago couple
Don't be shy, we've heard them all.
Our dedicated event staff handle all setup and takedown of your décor. You drop it off the week of by appointment, then simply enjoy the day.
